Every year at the 25 Under 25® Awards Dinner and Gala, Kansas City Small Business Monthly also presents the Entrepreneurial Legacy Award to an individual who has made enduring contributions to the entrepreneurial community.
V. Cheryl Womack is the 2008 award winner. Cheryl is the chairperson of Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World, a global organization that identifies and promotes female entrepreneurs. Cheryl began her entrepreneurial career by founding NAIT and VCW Inc., an association and insurance agency designed to meet the needs of independent contractor truck drivers. Cheryl now focuses her attention on leading The Star Group team in program and partnership development for annual events that honor the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World™. When she isn’t participating in The Committee of 200, Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, and the Women's Leadership Board, Cheryl frequently addresses diverse audiences around the world.
