John has more than 25 years experience as a newspaper reporter and corporate spokesperson for firms ranging in size from 50 employees to 30,000. He has done media relations and crisis communications training around the nation and has helped formulate media strategies for hundreds of companies.
John has an undergraduate degree in journalism and an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications. He is a former board member with the Society of Professional Journalists and member of the Kansas City Press Club, where he was the recipient of the group's prestigious "Silver" award.
In addition, John is an adjunct professor at Baker University, the University of Kansas and University of Phoenix, where he teaches strategic marketing, public relations, journalism and consumer behavior.
