U.S. Secretary of Commerce Will Keynote Hispanic Chamber's Business Conference
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City (HCCGKC) has announced U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez as the keynote at the chamber's opening luncheon for the business conference on Thursday, November 2, at noon, in the Westin Hotel Crown Center.
Jeanette Hernandez Prenger, HCCGKC chairwoman, noted that U.S. Treasurer Anna Escobedo Cabral will be the featured speaker on Friday, November 3.
The two-day business conference - "Building Relationships, Creating Opportunities" - will provide a networking opportunity for professionals in three key sectors: corporate, small business and professional development. Workshops topics include how immigration legislation impacts your business, doing business with corporations and the government, how to effectively recruit diverse employees, and effective career advancement strategies.
